Welcome to Hoeve Altena!
We are Francois and Kim, now the fourth generation at Hoeve Altena. The farm was built in 1924 by Kim's great-grandparents, later her grandparents ran a dairy farm here. In 1993 her parents bought the farm and they started renovating. Their last renovation project was the realization of the guest accommodations in and around the farm.
Together we are constantly working to maintain and improve this wonderful place. We love to let people from all over the world enjoy it.

Woudrichem is a beautiful and historic town on the river Merwede, with several restaurants, hop on the ferry to Slot Loevestein, Gorinchem and historical city Heusden. Golfcourses: 5 golfcourses within 25 km Woudrichem is centrally located in the Netherlands; Rotterdam, Utrecht, Breda and ’s Hertogenbosch 40 min by car, Antwerp: within 1 hour. De Efteling: 25 min by car. De Brabantse Biesbosch is a must for those who love nature. Bike-lovers: Great bike-tours along the rivers to see Holland at its best.

Woudrichem is the perfect place to start your trips. Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Cycling along the rivers, exploring nature in the Biesbosch or the Hoge Veluwe, a family day at the Efteling, or one of the many historical towns. It is all close by.
